Turkish bus manufacturers have significantly increased their activity and in October 2021 the share of Turkish manufacturers reached 60%.
Kharkov purchased 150 Karsan buses (models Jest and Atak +), which is about half of the units of this transport. The rest of the buses will be launched into the line in January 2022.
Negotiations with Turkish partners are underway, and in 7-8 months a large-scale assembly of Turkish Karsan buses is planned in Kharkov.
The CEO of Karsan Okan Bash said they would consider investing in production facilities in Ukraine. Another Turkish brand, Otokar, also actively increased sales.
